Overnight shift life
Aw man, just could not get myself on that scale today. I've been working overnight shifts this week, not sleeping well at all during the day, eating salty food during the night and missed a workout. I just feel so full and bloated that I was honestly terrified to step on and see the number go UP UP UP. Just need to reset my body a little and then I'll start tracking the weight better.
Today was pretty good, I did go to the gym after my shift around 8AM and walked on the treadmill 2.5 miles. Its not a lot but better than nothing, and really did not have it in me for an intense workout at that point. The unfortunate thing was I only slept 4 hours yet again and have another 10-11 hr shift tonight. Oh well. Also need stronger resolve to not eat the snacks in the break area. Its so easy to mindlessly nibble through a shift especially in the ER when you don't have time to sit and relax and slowly eat during work....but must be strong!
